Rainforest AnimalsThe rainforest is a Mecca for many different wild and wonderful animals. It contains some of the most rare species in the entire world, many of which could actually become extinct if we do not protect the rainforests now. There are tons of rainforest animals, ranging from birds to reptiles, insects and mammals. Most of the animals have amazing instincts that allow them to survive in the conditions of the rainforest. A lot of different types of monkeys live in rainforests, and they usually live entirely in the trees. There are also a great deal of beautiful birds that live there, including colorful parakeets and toucans. Some rainforest animals are dangerous and have toxic poisons that are dangerous to humans. Some of these animals are large snakes, and they use their venom to catch predators so that they are able to eat and survive. Not all of the rainforest animals are dangerous. Some are quite beautiful and peaceful. Many different wonderful breeds of butterfly live in the rainforest. There are also insects there called walking sticks. These bugs look almost just like a tree branch, and a lot of times people do not even notice they are there. These insects use the way they look to camouflage themselves from the birds and other animals that try to eat them. There are also a lot of interesting other rainforest animals, such as bats, aardvarks, and chameleons. Many types of these animals can only be found in the rainforests, and are not able to live in any other environment. This is what makes the rainforest so special. It is a rare haven for all kinds of wonderful animals to live, eat, and raise families. It is our job as humans to be sure we do everything we can to protect this fragile place, and leave it healthy and safe for the animals. |
